The Holjeron High Speed Counter module counts pulsed inputs up to a 30 KHz frequency, and quadrature counts to 10 KHz. The module also provides a preset for comparison to the actual count.
Upon preset, the module can be configured to function in a number of ways. The High Speed Counter module also allows for the configuration of pretravel set-points. Pretravel points are reported on the Smart Distributed System (SDS) network as they occur, allowing the user to know when a process is nearing the preset. There is also a physical output on the High Speed Counter that can be linked to the state of the preset. The state of the output will change in less than one millisecond when the preset state changes, providing for direct control of an actuator in an application.
- Up to 30 KHz counting rate on two inputs. Count inputs are anticoincident and can be configured as up/down or for quadrature inputs.
- Physical output on the High Speed Counter can be linked with a preset, providing instantaneous control based on the preset.
- Pretravel counts provide additional control of a process or machine, such as staging the next item to be processed or slowing down when approaching the preset.
- Full isolation between the I/O and the bus voltage to protect against transient noise.
- DIN rail mountable.
